Lets look more closely where the mode of passion has taken us and where it will likely carry us in the future. Labels people have thrown out to convey the culture we live in today in the west are labels such as the developing countries, the technology age, and 1st world countries. I find it quite backwards that countries that claim this high status are the ones who are tearing down the forests, ravishing and assaulting the oceans in countless ways, causing climate change, and tearing down mountains for metals. We wont stop there for we are on the way to drilling the planet dry of oil which...

The mode of goodness means we live in a culture of giving. Through intimate relationships where we support each other materially, spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically. We can see that out of four categories of need we have as humans only one of them is a outer need and three are inner needs. The mode of passion is all about trying to fulfill our needs from the outside. The mode of goodness takes care of the body and then works on keeping balance of these internal needs we all have. Sattva guna is sanskrit word for living in the mode of goodness. We are all looking to be fulfilled...

How many of us intend to slow down and connect deeply with someone today. Do we plan to even connect with our own feelings and emotions today. Beyond that would be to go deeper and make the effort to process them and work through them to reach new insights in life. Many of us may find that we are chasing the carrot that is moving so fast that we hardly have a second to stop and think what am I actually doing with my life. We are here on this earth to rise above the lower modes which cause us to forget the intrinsic core values of who we are. So most of us may not be aware due to living in the...

Detoxing has been around for a very long time but only recently have more and more people started asking, ” what is it?” and “should I detox?”. Detoxing, is certainly on the cusp of an explosion. It just makes sense. It’s a lifestyle that encompasses what you eat, what you drink, your physical activity and your mind, emotions and spirit. It’s something that can have a tremendous impact on your health and on your life. But don’t worry you’re not running away to join a cult, you’re not going to be a social outcast, or subscribing to something...

Natural electricity is a great way to save a considerable amount of money each year as well as doing your part in helping the environment. We all yearn internally to live simply if we know it or not. If you don’t know it than it is very likely that you are not in touch with your inner self, or intuition. When life is simple and we live from a place of inner satisfaction we are able to come from a place of higher values toward ourselves and others such as humility, compassion, forgiveness, patience and gratitude. When insatiable greed becomes one’s driving force, it is a common to fall in the unfortunate mood of wanting to take advantage of others and live from values that degrade us such as greed, envy, lust, anger...

The ocean water being about 31 degrees (almost ice) put me in shock as I was being tossed around by the powerful currents. For about 5 minutes I struggled really hard to try and swim to the closest shore, but the water started taking its toll on me and rendering me ineffective against the powers of nature.
At this moment I began to contemplate my death and felt myself become weak and more faint on each passing minute. I now came to a point where I felt all I could do is keep myself above the water and my perception had got to a point where I was losing track of what was really happening to me. At...

When one is in knowledge, there is a understanding that every action has a re-action. Evolving on our Journeys means we are conscious of what Karma we may bring into our lives before performing any action.
